Senior Integrative: Children and Family Ministry Leadership Issues

Course number: PS4301DIR • Credit hours: 3 hrs


This course will provide children’s ministry workers, leaders, and pastors to study leadership skills that will improve the present state of his/her children’s ministry. Students will explore resources and practical strategies of building a team of dedicated volunteers or leaders. Classes will be designed to give students opportunities to gain insight through interaction and discussion among other children’s ministry leaders.    Students will be encouraged to develop a heart to minister the gospel as well as the skills to manage a program that requires teamwork. Attention will be given to the process of creating a vision, encouraging and building of talents and gifts, and other leadership skills.

This is a directed study course: the instructor will develop the course of study with the student including instruction, related experiential activities, and assessment of learning outcomes for this course. Students will take this course at a distance but are welcome to join the class via video conference (i.e., Skype or FaceTime).  Face-to-face interaction with the instructor is also encouraged.
