Field Education- Children and Family Ministry (CFM) Intro Practicum

Course number: PS1514DIR • Credit hours: 3 hrs


The focus of this practicum course is to gain practical experience through exposure to children & family ministries in the church and the community. This course is developed to integrate biblical principles with the current issues and needs of children and families in our community. Opportunities throughout the practicum will provide greater awareness of resources needed to meet ministry goals and challenges.


This is a directed study course: the instructor will develop the course of study with the student including instruction, related experiential activities, and assessment of learning outcomes for this course. Students will take this course at a distance but are welcome to join the class via video conference (i.e., Skype or FaceTime).  Face-to-face interaction with the instructor is also encouraged.
