Field Education- Children and Family Ministry (CFM) Intensive Internship

Course number: PS3516DIR • Credit hours: 6 hrs

The focus of this practicum course is to gain practical experience through an internship opportunity and continue to be transformed by the gospel. More intensive than a practicum, students are challenged to serve in a children or family ministry that will provide various opportunities to grow as a servant-leader. Each student will also have the opportunity to develop his/her ministry skills by receiving one-on-one mentoring from the instructor throughout the year.

This is a directed study course: the instructor will develop the course of study with the student including instruction, related experiential activities, and assessment of learning outcomes for this course. Students will take this course at a distance but are welcome to join the class via video conference (i.e., Skype or FaceTime).  Face-to-face interaction with the instructor is also encouraged.
