Field Education: CFM Senior Practicum

Course number: PS1517DIR • Credit hours: 3 hrs


The emphasis of this practicum will be in the fourth year student’s continued skill development and growth in the area of Children’s and Family Ministry.  This final pastoral practicum will focus on the skills involved in leading and developing a strong volunteer and staff team.  This practicum is designed to give students the skills and confidence they need to take a leadership role in Children’s and Family Ministry either in a local church or para-church organization.

This is a directed study course: the instructor will develop the course of study with the student including instruction, related experiential activities, and assessment of learning outcomes for this course. Students will take this course at a distance but are welcome to join the class via video conference (i.e., Skype or FaceTime).  Face-to-face interaction with the instructor is also encouraged.
